Happenstance, Episode 1 (featuring Cason Sharpe)
July 20, 2022 at 7:00PM
Event Information:
The site of this episode is the Yorkville Rock, a massive boulder weighing 650-tonnes that is said to be hundreds of millions years old. It was found in Northern Ontario and was, at one time, likely part of the Canadian shield that has long since eroded. It was broken into pieces and brought to Toronto on flatbed trucks before being reassembled into the formation we see today. In addition to being a place to have your lunch or catch up with a friend, the Yorkville Rock is known by some as “breakup rock” because it is also a popular location for couples to break up at. So, this rock is heavy, both literally and from the accumulation of energy of former lovers.
Cason Sharpe is a writer based in Toronto. His first book of short stories, Our Lady of Perpetual Realness, was published by Metatron Press in 2017, and his subsequent writing can be found in various places in print and online.
