For this event, readers were invited to respond to, and engage with, notions of montage, collage, and juxtaposition; specifically how these techniques relate to memory, subjectivity, affect heuristics, and interior psychology. How does the mind "play tricks" on us and how do these internal states influence our perception of facts, history, and truth? This event engages with how misremembering, mishearing, and perceptual illusions can be the foundation for new thoughts and feelings that don't necessarily stem from "rational" or "optimal" logic.
